Albany State University Kicks-off Holiday Season with Employee Celebration

President Holiday Social

Albany State University (ASU) celebrated the start of the holiday season with a fun-filled holiday social for its faculty and staff on December 7. The event, which took place at the Old President's House and the L. Orene Hall Building on the historic east campus, featured caroling, hot cocoa, marshmallow roasting, delicious food, door prizes, an ugly sweater contest, entertainment, and more. Students from the Department of Visual and Performing Arts performed caroling music as a brass ensemble.

“ASU continues to be an economic force in the Southwest region of Georgia and the city of Albany. As we look back over the previous year and prepare for what’s to come, it is fitting to spend time fellowshipping with those that make it happen every day for our students,” said Valerie Melton, Vice President of Institutional Advancement and Executive Director for the ASU Foundation.

Faculty and staff were delighted to mingle with colleagues and enjoy the festive atmosphere. The holiday social was a wonderful opportunity for the ASU community to come together and celebrate the season.
