The ASU ROTC Unit, Wildcat Battalion, Bravo Company, is based at Albany State University and will graduate seven ROTC students in the Spring. Each graduate will attain the rank of 1st Lieutenant upon completion of their academic and military training requirements and will then become active-duty officers in the United States Army.

“As a Military-friendly institution, ASU is proud of our relationship with the United States Army ROTC Program. Each day, the Wildcat Battalion, Bravo Company exhibits the Standard of Excellence and leadership attributes on which we pride ourselves. I salute these young Cadets and look forward to watching them take their leadership positions in the United States Army,” said President Fedrick.

The two students, Cadets Perkins and Wright, competed against other cadets from Mercer University and Ft. Valley State University for the award. They were recognized for their Military and Academic Excellence.  Both cadets are also graduates of the Army ROTC Advanced Training program, where they furthered their critical thinking, problem-solving, and leadership skills.

Captain Odalys Carrion, Chair of the ASU Military Science Department and Assistant Professor of Military Science, said,” The ROTC Unit, Wildcat Battalion, Bravo Company, appreciates the support of President Fedrick and the Albany State University faculty, staff, and students.  President Fedrick has ensured that our Unit feels welcomed and is provided everything needed to succeed as we produce the next leadership of the United States Army.”
