ASU Announces 2023 Blue and Gold Gala Albert "Smitty" Smith Philanthropy Award Honoree
Dr. Mollie Bell Brown (’65), is an alumna of Albany State University (ASU) with a Bachelor of Science in business education. She went on to obtain her Masters and Ph.D. from Georgia State University. She is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Incorporated – Delta Eta Omega Chapter.
From 1965 – 2003, she served in various roles at Albany State University including:
Interim Vice President for Academic Affairs and Dean of the College of Business. For
her years of service, she is honored in the ASU Alumni Hall of Fame.
As a retired educator, she serves as the Alpha Kappa Mu Honor Society National Executive
Secretary-Treasurer. She is also a 50-year memeber of the Third Kiokee Baptist Church serving in various
roles including, senior choir and on the Number One Usher Board.
