Albany State University Launches Student Portal

Albany State University (ASU) is proud to announce the successful launch of the Ellucian Experience Portal, a cutting-edge digital platform designed to enhance student engagement and streamline the university experience. As the first institution in the University System of Georgia to launch the portal, ASU is leading the charge in providing students with an innovative solution to interact with the university. Within a few weeks of the launch, the portal has received over 3,000 unique log-ins, helping students stay connected and engaged. 

With the Ellucian Experience Portal, students can access a wide range of features and resources, including personalized dashboards, one-click access to important campus services, and real-time updates on on-campus events and news. MyASUPortal

The Ellucian Experience Portal was resilient enough to meet ASU’s current and future needs while integrating with previously implemented software. This launch is another example of Albany State University’s ongoing commitment to academic excellence and student success,” said Vice President for Enrollment Management and Interim Chief Information Officer Kenyatta Johnson.

The portal, named “MyASU Portal,” features a user-friendly, centralized, and secure dashboard using a single entry point to the critical information they need without switching screens or multiple sign-ons. It allows students to access data from the Enrollment Services, Student Accounts, Financial Aid, and more. The MyASU Portal also houses university announcements, resource links, and an academic calendar. The content in the portal can be tailored by each user, allowing students to view grades, check degree progress, access their student account, make a payment, and view their class schedule and academic standing. With its user-friendly interface, the MyASU Portal is the perfect destination for students looking to streamline their educational experience.

The MyASU Portal can be accessed on computers, tablets, and smartphones.

The project was led by Sekar Ponnar, Director of Application Services in the Division of Information Technology Services, with support from exceptional team members Jonathan Balote and Gabrielle Roberts. With Registrar Frank Malinowski providing functional support, the team has worked tirelessly for countless hours to create a genuinely student-centered product.
