Update 3:
The Albany State University Police Department (ASU PD) has completed its investigation
of the bomb threat that ASU received earlier this morning. The ASU Police Department,
and local and state law enforcement agencies searched all campus facilities and have
issued an all-clear. It is safe to return to campus.
As a precaution and until further notice, students and employees will be required
to use their RAM Identification Cards to enter buildings on campus.
All ASU classes are postponed until tomorrow, February 1. Student activities and
Athletics games will operate as scheduled today, January 31. All campus operations
will resume as normal tomorrow, February 1; at which time, all employees should return
to campus.
Normal dining hall hours will resume today, January 31 as follows:
Light Lunch | 3 p.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Dinner | 4:45 p.m. - 8 p.m.

Earlier this morning, Albany State University received notification of a bomb threat
to the academic buildings. Out of an abundance of caution, law enforcement officials
are checking all campus facilities.
At this time, all campuses are closed, classes and university operations are postponed
until further notice. Employees and commuter students should not report to campus
at this time. It is important that students and employees continue to monitor Connect
5, and all official ASU social media sites for notifications of when classroom instruction
will resume.
Dining halls are closed until further notice. However, plans are underway to ensure
residential students are provided meals.
Once the investigation is complete, you will receive an all-clear message. We ask
that you remain calm and report any suspicious activity to ASUPD at 229-430-4711. We
are working with the proper authorities to thoroughly investigate this potential threat.
