safety and smooth operation, we kindly ask all community members to familiarize themselves with the
procedures and guidelines.
Albany State University (ASU), as part of the University System of Georgia, is proud
to serve the community as an open campus. All Public spaces are accessible to students,
faculty, staff, and visitors during regular operating hours, reflecting our commitment
to engagement and inclusion. To ensure a safe and secure environment for all, ASU
has established the following visitation and facility use protocols:
-
After business hours, building access is limited to authorized ASU community members and approved event participants.
-
Student Centers, Tennis Court, Baseball Field, Gymnasiums and Weight Rooms are reserved for currently employed ASU staff and ASU enrolled students.

Specific play and recreation times are set aside in the gyms exclusively for ASU students.
-
All non-public restricted facilities with Salto lock systems require use of ASU-issued ID cards for entry.
-
All employees are required to have their university identification card at all times.
-
Walking tracks and trails are open only from dawn to dusk. Late-night use is prohibited for safety reasons.
