Albany State University to Host 2024 Honors Day with Guest Speaker Dodie Cantrell-Bickley
Albany State University (ASU) will honor over 1,000 students' academic achievements at the 2024 Honors Day Ceremony. The event will occur on Thursday, March 14, at 10 a.m. in the west campus arena. 53 of the students being honored have a 4.0 GPA.
Honors Day serves to recognize and honor undergraduate students from all disciplines. These students have demonstrated excellence in academic coursework and research, which reflects the theme: “Honoring Excellence in Academic Achievement.”
Dodie Cantrell-Bickley, Senior Lecturer for the Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication for the University of Georgia, will be featured as the guest speaker. She was recently inducted into the Georgia Association of Broadcasters Hall of Fame. Her extensive career extends over three decades in television, including seven years as president and general manager of leading CBS, NBC, and ABC stations. To view the full biography, click here.
