Citation & Appeals

Parking Citation Payment Process

To make a payment, please see below:

Citations paid via cash or check should be made at Ram Central, Student Center, West Campus. ASU Students, Faculty and Staff can make payment online via the Student TouchNet Portal.

Make payment: Follow the steps outlined below. Financial Aid funds will not pay for a parking fine even if sufficient funds are available on the account. When paying online enter the amount in which you are paying, even if there is a balance on the account. *Please be aware of a processing fee for debit/credit card transactions.

    1. Navigate to asurams.edu.
    2. Click on “Students”.
    3. Click on “ASU TouchNet Student Portal”.
    4. Select “Make A Payment”.
    5. Select “Current Account Balance”
    6. Enter the amount of the parking citation in which you are paying into the amount box.
    7. Complete the payment process.

Payment must be received no later than five business days from the date of the citation. If the fine is not paid or an appeal is not presented within this time frame, the citations will be considered delinquent and a late fee of $10.00 will be assessed. No further appeal will be permitted. A "HOLD" will be placed on the violator's record when parking fines are accumulated. Violators who fail to pay parking holds will not be permitted to register for classes or receive a transcript until fines are paid.

Citation Appeals

All individuals have the right to appeal a citation. Appeals are made to Parking Services and must be submitted within five (5) business days from the date the citation was issued. Payments and late fees are suspended during the appeal process. An appeal decision will be sent to the Parking Committee and made within (10) business days from the date of the appeal. The committee's findings are final.

When an appeal is denied, the citation to which it pertains becomes due and payable. If you file an appeal, you will be notified by e-mail when a decision has been rendered.

If citation fees are not paid a "HOLD" will be placed on the violator's university record. Violators who fail to pay parking holds will not be permitted to register for classes or receive a transcript until fines are paid in full.

Parking and traffic violations cited on a State of Georgia Traffic Citation by the ASU Police Department must be paid or appealed to the State Traffic Court of Dougherty County.
