Transient Students
Transient Admissions
A transient is an undergraduate student in good standing at another institution who
enrolls for one semester at Albany State University in order to complete work to be
transferred back to the home institution.
Admission Requirements
- Pay the $25 non-refundable application fee online
- Submit a Letter of Good Standing from your current institution
If you have questions, contact the Admissions and Recruitment Team at admissions@asurams.edu or 229-500-4358.
The Albany State University’s Office of Undergraduate Admissions will only maintain a record of non-enrolling student test scores and transcripts for five years. Admission applications and fees are only kept for one year.
Questions Regarding Transient Applicant
What is a Letter of Good Standing?
A letter of good standing may also be referred to as a transient permission form and can usually be obtainable through your home institution’s registrar office.
Can you tell me what classes to take?
Unfortunately, we cannot. As a transient student, you would need to work with your advisor at your home institution to ensure you are taking courses that they will accept as credit and are equivalent to their curriculum.
