Dual Enrollment Students
Earn College Credit While in High School

Dual Enrollment
Albany State University's Dual Enrollment Program allows eligible high school students to earn college credit while simultaneously satisfying high school graduation requirements. Students gain early exposure to college coursework, save money on future college expenses, and get a head start on their degree.
Students interested in Dual Enrollment are encouraged to talk with their high school
counselor as early as possible to ensure all deadlines are met. Students should be
aware that college courses are typically more rigorous than high school courses and
move at a faster pace. Also, Dual Enrollment courses result in real college credit
and the grades become a part of the student's permanent college record. Grades earned
through Dual Enrollment can assist with future eligibility for college admission and
scholarships as well as high school graduation.
Students may be eligible if they:
-
- Are enrolled in a Georgia public, private, or approved home study program
- Are currently in the 10th, 11th, or 12th grade
- Meet Albany State University's admissions requirements
- Receive approval from their high school counselor and parent/guardian
