Mission

The Center for Faculty Excellence supports Albany State University in its mission to provide high quality, student-centered educational programs for the citizens of southwest Georgia and beyond. In accordance with ASU’s mission guidelines to aspire to excellence, engage historically diverse and underserved populations, and expand access to higher education, the CFE will help develop and sustain high-quality university faculty by recognizing, strengthening, and promoting excellence in classroom instruction and academic research.

Vision

The Center for Faculty Excellence will have a transformative impact on faculty development through targeted support, training, and knowledge acquisition. It will provide evidence-based solutions to encourage faculty improvement, recognize and promote faculty strengths, and support faculty through activities, resources, and events to make continuous improvement the hallmark of Albany State. Our vision is to be the leading resource for professional development, research and service-based opportunities.
