Future Plans

The purpose of the Albany State University Lecture Series is to provide a coordinated succession of quality lecture events for Albany State University students, faculty, staff, and the community to stimulate and enhance the student’s intellectual ability and desire for continued academic success and social development.

The Purpose of the “Innovation in Teaching Awards” is to recognize faculty efforts in integrating small innovative strategies into classroom instruction.

Faculty will be nominated by students, provide rationale for the nomination, provide a short video clip, and the student body will vote for the final award(s).

The purpose of the “Excellence in Teaching Award” is to recognize exemplary classroom teaching. Every student at ASU deserves to have the best classroom instruction and this award will recognize instructors that strive to continually improve and provide that strong classroom instruction.

Instructors will be identified from each college using specific criteria, provide a video clip of classroom instruction, and the student body will vote for the final award.
