Dr. Robert Owor with ASU MCS Students at NASA Conference
ASU MCS Students won the NASA University Design Challenge at the NASA Conference held
in Ohio. The Challenge was to design a rocket engine, a very fast thermoacoustic engine
that can get to Mars in less than 6 months. Kudos to the ASU Design Team!

The multi-disciplinary project will be overseen by Dr. Cheninye Ofodile, Dr. John
Williams, Dr. Zephyrinus Okonkwo, Dr. Robert Owor, and Dr. Dorene Medlin.
This project examines whether establishing a hub for science, technology, engineering, or mathematics (STEM) activities at an HBCU in rural southwest Georgia can catalyze community, school district, and industry partnerships to work toward improving STEM education.
